One of the stories introduced In the documentary movie released last August by HS was from the village in the suburb of Uganda, Africa.
(happyscience-usa.org) One child in the village died. However, the father of the child did not give up and kept praying by reading "Dharma" in English (basic scripture of HS) for 45 minutes. Then, the child, who was supposed to be "dead medically", came back to life!!! Everyone in the village witnessed that the child was dead for 45 minutes and was resurrected by the prayer of the father. His faith must have been so pure and straight, which made the miracle happen. The father believed, "miracle exists", and kept praying. Then, the heart of the child started to beat again. Now the child is going to school. This is only a part of so many other stories. I have been so blessed to have grown up in a religious and spiritual environment.
The church my Mom was taking me to every morning was Konko Religion Church in Osaka. The church was very spiritual. I have heard various miraculous stories from my childhood. One of the stories that I never be able to forget was about one lady, who passed away and came back to life! One day she passed away. Then, so many people around her were so sad but could not give her up. They were helped by her greatly and did not want to let her go without their giving back to her. They prayed hard to God. Then, she was brought back to life!! People were so happy and tried to give back to her. She later passed away after receiving so much love and cares from people. Now, I keep hearing so many more stories, which are called "miracle" in our society. My current church, Happy Science, has been experiencing so many miracles all over the world. (To be continued) Thanks to the encouragement by the Director of KCS, Susie, I decided to participate in KCS Soirée by singing "America the Beautiful".
This is the video I used as BGM. https://youtu.be/MAU2TgfZAcc Since I could not put the sound of the video on Zoom, it turned to be my a cappella to the audience. I blasted. I blasted at a higher note at the ending. This is a very beautiful music. Whenever I sing this song, various sceneries come back to my mind. I have flown to the mainland so many times last 7 or 8 years. I have been always enjoying flying above the Rocky Mountains, shining oceans, and vast plains. (except big turbulences) I remember the awesome color of the mountain I saw from the airplane in the evening. I remember the alabaster cities in a refreshing morning air. My feeling hits a peak when I sang the phrases, "Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy Liberty in Law!" I was shaking while singing. Even with Zoom, singing alone is a totally different ball game. I was nervous. However, I sang by putting my emotions into words and tried to express my love and respect to this country. People clapped their hands in the screen and sent very warm and encouraging messages to me. The section leader of Alto, Anne, who has been always supportive to my singing activities, sent me a very delightful messages including, "Pat yourself on the back!!" The night, I slept so well. Next morning, I noticed my face skin looked so smooth. I looked younger and very healthy. I was convinced again that singing is a very good thing for our mind, body, and spirit. I heard there is a still slot for this.
I do not have many chores on Friday evening, so I decided to participate by singing a song. After telling the Director, I almost gave up because I felt I need much more practice. However, she encouraged me to try this by saying, “I think it would be very meaningful.” “This is just for fun and sharing”. I decided to do it. I remembered my late Mom’s words. She told me when I was worried before starting a very challenging work. “Yumichan, you are a challenger, right?” Those words have become a very strong supportive push. I will enjoy today’s musical soiree. I will sing one of my repertoire during the pandemic period, “America the Beautiful”. Lots of my feelings come out inside of me every time I sing this song. I love animals, who are our friends.
Earlier this month, the whale appeared near the Hapuna beach. A couple of days later, 3 turtles were swimming near the beach. I saw two of them and tried to swim with them. Long time ago, at another beach, I saw a big school of small fish swimming under me! That was gorgeous. Beautiful birds are chirping in the trees. A carinal with beautiful red colored body has been singing loud at the highest point. He might have been showing off and attract females. We see lots of beautiful horses and lots of cows. When we drive, the goats sometimes come out to the road, which is dangerous! The other day, I was driving down on the curvy road, and then, one goat started to cross just in front of me! I honked hard and chased him away. Hwoooooo!! There are many kinds of animals and lives alive in this island. I love the Big Island. |
