Messages from Big Island, Hawaii, in Japanese and English
I heard there is a still slot for this.
I do not have many chores on Friday evening, so I decided to participate by singing a song. After telling the Director, I almost gave up because I felt I need much more practice. However, she encouraged me to try this by saying, “I think it would be very meaningful.” “This is just for fun and sharing”. I decided to do it. I remembered my late Mom’s words. She told me when I was worried before starting a very challenging work. “Yumichan, you are a challenger, right?” Those words have become a very strong supportive push. I will enjoy today’s musical soiree. I will sing one of my repertoire during the pandemic period, “America the Beautiful”. Lots of my feelings come out inside of me every time I sing this song.
