Messages from Big Island, Hawaii, in Japanese and English
The other day, I was stunned to see one of the Japanese articles.
It was about Mr. Kon Omura, a very well-known and popular comedian in Japan. The picture of him and his wife together there surprised me knowing that he is 88 years old (almost 89 ) and his wife is 83 years old!! They both look so young, strong, healthy and happy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfRds_We3js&feature=youtu.be When Kon was just before turning to be 20 years old, he got lung tuberculosis he had his one lung removed. He was told by the doctor then, “you will not be able to live up to 40 years old”. “If my life span is limited”, he decided to jump into the comedy world. Then, he kept being so active on TV as a comedian. He has been loved by Japanese people by appearing TV commercials and others. I did not see him for a long time. Then, I saw the picture, and got stunned. This is a big hope for human beings. He started to go to RIZAP when he was 86 years old together with his wife, and started exercise and muscle training. He said it was a lie that “human body’s keep building the muscle until they die”, or “you can still train your muscles when you get old”. He said, “I will keep doing until 100 years old”. Of course, aged people need to be very careful to start this kind of things. You need a professional trainer. I checked the site of RIZAP. https://sg.rizap-global.com/ It said your personal trainer will tailor a program for your body type. Human bodies are amazing. When we get healthy and strong by daily exercise, we become more confident, more positive, and feel good! My husband has been getting muscle and becoming healthier thanks to his current work. (going stairs up and down every day) He looks younger, more confident, and happy! I am so happy to see that. I was taking a break on muscle training, that I was doing by myself at home for a while. Now I have been so inspired so much. I will start again. Comments are closed.
